ArtsGroupie has lots of interesting events planned. Visit the ARTSGROUPIE website to see what they have lined up throughout the year. 

 

 

Tuesday 3rd March 2-4 pm, The Savoy Jazzmen at the Palm House, Sefton Park. Admission is free, and refreshments are available, but don’t be late; it’s a popular, fun event. 

 

 

Wednesday 4th March, at 2 pm, C.H.A.T. (Craft, Hobbies, Art, Tea) at All Saints Church hall, the first Wednesday of the month.  A new group, just coming together.  Why not give it a go?

 

 

Saturday 7th March 4pm. Councillor Mike Storey will be at the Fiveways for the regular litterpick. The Fiveways is notoriously a heavily littered area, which is cleared every month by the councillors and a team from SCRA  Rubbish Friends, but its not the second Sunday this month, its the day before. Your help is still needed though.  Email L16SCRA @gmail.com if you can help and need a litter picker.

 

 

Sunday, 8th March, 2 pm: Rubbish Friends litter-picking group will be meeting at the Childwall Triangle. If you would like to get involved, it’s the second Sunday of every month.  You can contact Bren at scrachair2@gmail.com for more information or to join us.

 

 

Sunday, 8th March, 2-4 pm: The Savoy Jazzmen, at the Childwall Abbey.  There is no admission charge. Just a great afternoon to be had. To book a table, call 0151 722 5293.

 

 

Wednesday 11th March, 2-4 pm: Repair Cafe. All Saints Church Hall. Bring your broken goods and see if the repair volunteers can fix them. Or would you like to volunteer to help and make new friends over a cup of tea? Contact Len 07518231500  for more information.

 

 

Wednesday 18th March at 2 pm,  Tea at 2. You’re invited to All Saints Church Hall for a bottomless teapot, a slice of cake, and a large helping of good company. All for £1. Any questions, contact Helen Ford on 0151 428 9153

 

 

Wednesday 25th March, Singalong at the All Saints Church Hall. The 4th Wednesday of every month, it’s free and a great opportunity to join friends and sing along to music of the 50s and 60s. 2 – 3.30 pm for tea/coffee and biscuits, just a small donation of £1. 

 

Friday 27th March, The Charity Crafters (formerly known as the Project Linus Craft Group), 3 pm at Childwall Abbey Hotel. This group is currently unable to accept new members, but if you are interested in joining, please email L16scra@gmail.com, and we will add you to our waiting list.

Tuesday 31st March The Friends of Childwall Woods and Fields AGM. Join them for refreshments and to vote on the next committee. You will hear all about the work that’s been going on over the last year and what is planned for 2026.
At Hope University in the i3 building. Thats the new building by the arch. Room i3B 004 at 6 pm. There will be someone there to guide you.

 

 

Wednesday 8th April,  ‘Cuppa with a Copper’. Meet our local police in the Church Hall at 6 pm and chat over a cup of tea/coffee. This is your opportunity to ask questions and share information.

Every Monday 

 

The Diggers – Friends of Childwall Woods and Fields Volunteer Group 1-3 pm. Meet at the Childwall Lane entrance to the Fields at 1pm every Monday, and join the volunteers to keep our Local Nature Reserve free from invasive species and open for us all to enjoy. Quiz night at the Abbey Hotel. 8 pm till late. Take your own pen and get an extra point.

 

 

Every Tuesday

 

Every Tuesday, 3 pm, Bingo at the Abbey.  It’s free and great fun. It’s eyes down at 3, but come at 2 pm and join the ‘Bingo Buddies’ for lunch. Contact Bren at SCRAchair2@gmail.com to join the buddies.

Every Wednesday

9.30 -11.00 am  Churchyard Gardening at All Saints Church. If you have some time to spare, just turn up and give them a hand. There’s always a cuppa and a biscuit for your trouble, and often cake.

 

12 – 1.30 pm Growing Spaces.
A relaxing space to unleash your creative side. A calm and creative space for arts, crafts,  and more. No skills are needed; crafting is optional. Come along and meet new friends. At Hope University. Contact the community engagement team at cet@hope.ac.uk.

Every Thursday at 3-4 pm. Meditation in the peace of Hope University Chapel. This is a calm and relaxing guided session. Come along for an hour and relax your mind and body, while meeting new friends. Every Thursday, 7.00 pm – 8.30 pm Childwall Community Choir at Hope University Chapel.  
Everyone welcome. Email L16scra@gmail.com for more information, or visit the link above. Join us in the Chapel, where we will learn a range of popular songs. There’s no audition, just a warm welcome.

Every Friday at 12:15, Liverpool Aquatic Centre Offers Low-impact circuit training for the over 50’s. Join the small group of regulars who meet each week. For more information on how to become a member and to book your place, visit the website.
