The AGM 2025

The 6th Annual General Meeting of the South Childwall Residents Association
To be held at The Childwall Abbey Hotel
on Monday 20th October at 7.00 pm
We hold an AGM each year to give everyone an opportunity to find out what’s been happening, to look at the finances, to meet the committee, and to vote on a new one.  We do this to keep everyone informed and to give you an opportunity to ask questions.
It is especially important to hear from YOU. What do you want to see happening next year? Come along and tell us. We are open to suggestions.
The AGM will be held in the Function Room of the Abbey Hotel on the corner of Childwall Abbey Rd and Score Lane. Opposite All Saints Church.
SCRA is run by a committee of volunteers who are also residents of Childwall, and each year the serving committee stand down and a new committee is voted in by members at the AGM. The present committee will be presented to the members and will have the opportunity to stay in their present role if voted in. If you feel you have time and skills to offer and would like to join the committee, PLEASE let me know. New committee members are always needed.
I have attached a list outlining the different roles on the committee and another list of the committee members who have filled those roles during 2024/25. All of those committee members will be standing again on the 20th of October, but if you would like to stand for any of the posts, please let me know, and you will be put forward to the members at the AGM for a vote, the same as everyone else.
You may also notice that many of the trustees fulfil more than one role. If you feel you could take on any of the roles to help spread the load, let us talk.
This year, we are pleased to have a member of the Neighbourhood Watch team as our Keynote Speaker, and she will be telling us about the role of the Neighbourhood Watch in the community and how we can become more involved in our Neighbourhood security.  We will also hear about personal security, and RFID-blocking pouches will be given out to keep your cards safe.
There will of course be refreshments on offer to all attendees, whether members or not, so please bring your friend or neighbour, they can join at the meeting, and SCRA becomes stronger and more connected with each new household.
I hope you will be able to join us.
Best wishes from
Bren, Elaine, Geoff B, Geoff T, Jan, John and Simon
